Understanding that effective church ministry depends on both pastors and lay leaders,\u00a0the Central Conference wants to provide training opportunities for local Covenant church lay leaders<\/strong>\u00a0so that they too, can feel confident and prepared to live into their call serving the local church.<\/p>\n We are calling this the\u00a0LEAD (Lay Leader Equipping and Developing) Initiative.<\/strong>\u00a0As a part of this initiative we are offering workshops especially designed for local church lay leaders. These workshops will be offered in several locations throughout the Central Conference in hopes that no one will have to travel too far to attend. There will be three different workshops offered in a three year time frame.<\/p>\n<\/div> Workshop One<\/strong>\u00a0will be offered in 2020. Registration will be open when workshops resume.<\/p>\n The workshop will cover such topics as:<\/strong><\/p>\n We encourage local Covenant churches to have as many lay leaders as possible attend one of these events. The cost is $10 a person and will include materials.<\/p>\n You may\u00a0register online<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0download the\u00a0registration form<\/strong>\u00a0(when registration resumes) and send it along with a check to: the Central Conference, 4055 W.
